It is grill season again! Well for some of us anyway. :) These sausage & pineapple kebobs would be so yummy grilled on the outdoor grill. I broiled mine which takes about 7 minutes total cook time by the way. Can’t beat that!
8-10 kebob skewers
20 oz can pineapple chunks
2 lbs turkey smoked sausage
1 T soy sauce
2 T brown sugar
½ t ground ginger
Cut sausage into 1 inch pieces.
Drain pineapple and reserve juice.
Alternately thread pineapple and sausage onto skewers.
Place in a large container (9×13 baking dish works well).
Mix last 3 ingredients with ¼ C. of reserved juice in a small bowl and brush over kebobs. Discard remaining juice or freeze for later use.
Cover with foil or plastic wrap. Try to roll them around in the marinade every now and then if you can.
Grill or broil until heated through. Turn them after 3 minutes.
These would be great on a picnic!
Tip: wrap the ends of the skewers in foil if grilling outside to prevent burning
