Ingredients

- 12 slices whole wheat bread
- 12 mozzarella cheese slices
- 2 tomatoes large
- 2 T chopped fresh basil
- salt and pepper to taste
- 2 t balsamic vinegar
- 1/4 C olive oil
- 3 T grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 t garlic powder
On Cooking Day
- 6 C salad greens
- 3 apples
Instructions
To Assemble
- Build sandwiches by layering bread, mozzarella cheese and tomatoes; sprinkle with the basil, vinegar, salt and pepper. Top with remaining bread.Store sandwiches in large container with lid.
- In a small bowl with lid, combine the oil, Parmesan cheese and garlic powder;
To Cook
- Brush the oil/ parmesan mixture over the outsides of each sandwich.Grill sandwiches on skillet or grill pan.
- Slice apples. Serve sandwiches with side salad and apple slices.
