Ingredients
Prep
- 14 oz smoked sausage
- 2 C heavy cream
- 1 T Cajun seasoning
On Cooking Day
- 8 oz penne pasta
- 2 T olive oil
- 1/2 C grated Parmesan
Instructions
To Assemble
- Slice sausage into bite-sized pieces and place in a large zipper bag.
- Mix cream and cajun seasoning in a bowl with lid.
To Cook
- Cook pasta according to package directions.
- Add olive oil to skillet and turn to medium heat. Add sausage to hot skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes. Add cream mixture and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat; simmer gently for 3-4 minutes or until mixture begins to thicken. Remove from heat, stir in Parmesan cheese. Add pasta to sauce and toss.
