Cajun Sausage Pasta – C

Ingredients

Prep
  • 14 oz smoked sausage
  • 2 C heavy cream
  • 1 T Cajun seasoning
On Cooking Day
  • 8 oz penne pasta
  • 2 T olive oil
  • 1/2 C grated Parmesan

Instructions

To Assemble
  1. Slice sausage into bite-sized pieces and place in a large zipper bag.
  2. Mix cream and cajun seasoning in a bowl with lid.
To Cook
  1. Cook pasta according to package directions.
  2. Add olive oil to skillet and turn to medium heat. Add sausage to hot skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes. Add cream mixture and bring to a boil.
  3. Reduce heat; simmer gently for 3-4 minutes or until mixture begins to thicken. Remove from heat, stir in Parmesan cheese. Add pasta to sauce and toss.
