Ingredients
Prep
- 4 lb whole chicken
- 1 head/bulb garlic or 10 cloves
- 1 lemon
- 1/2 stick butter
- 3 T minced garlic
- 2 t dried rosemary
- 3 T lemon juice
- salt and pepper to taste
On Cooking Day
- 1 lb baby new potatoes
- 16 oz frozen green beans
Instructions
To Assemble
- Place whole chicken in large zipper bag or bowl with lid.
- Cut lemon in half and cut top 1/2 inch off garlic bulb and place inside cavity of chicken. Zip bag.
- In a small bowl with lid, add next 5 ingredients and cover. *be generous with salt and pepper.
To Cook
- Place potatoes in bottom of slow cooker and put chicken on top of potatoes.
- Melt butter mixture and brush with a pastry brush liberally over chicken. Pour any remaining over potatoes.
- Cook on low for 8-10 hours.
- Cook green beans according to package directions. Season with pan juices from chicken and potatoes.
