Ingredients
Prep
- 1 1/2 lb extra lean ground beef
- 15 oz tomato sauce
- 15 oz canned diced tomatoes
- 1 C frozen chopped onion
- 2 C frozen chopped bell pepper
- 1 T minced garlic
- 1/2 t dried marjoram
- 1/2 t pepper
On Cooking Day
- 16 oz beef broth
- 10 C salad greens
- 1 bag frozen brown rice steamers
- 1 pkg dinner rolls
Instructions
To Assemble
- Add all ingredients to large zipper bag. Zip and squish to break up meat.
To Cook
- Add beef mixture to slow cooker along with beef broth. Mix and cook on low for 8 hours.
- Use a potato masher to break up meat if needed. Cook rice according to package directions.
- Ladle soup into bowls and top with rice.
- Serve with salad and dinner rolls.
