One Pan Chocolate Cake

Ingredients

For cake
  • 1 1/2 C flour
  • 3 T cocoa powder
  • 1 C sugar
  • 1 t baking soda
  • 1/2 t salt
  • 1 t vanilla extract
  • 5 t oil I used olive oil
  • 1 C water
For frosting
  • 1/3 C milk
  • 1/3 C butter
  • 1 t vanilla extract
  • 1 C chocolate chips I used semi sweet

Instructions

For cake
  1. Add first 5 ingredients to an 8x8 pan sprayed with non stick spray. Mix well.
  2. Make 3 indentions in the flour mixture. Add each next 3 ingredients to each indention.
  3. Pour water over all and mix.
  4. Bake 350 degree oven for 35 minutes.
For Frosting
  1. Add butter, milk and sugar too a saucepan and boil over medium heat for 45 seconds.
  2. Wish in vanilla and chocolate chips until smooth.
  3. Pour over cake and let cool before serving.
