Easy Calzone – C

Best cooked on day 1 or day 2.

Ingredients

Prep
  • 2 pizza dough
  • 1 1/2 C pizza sauce
  • 2 C pepperoni slices
  • 2 C Canadian bacon slices
  • 4 C shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 T Italian seasoning
  • 4 T butter
  • 1 1/2 t garlic powder
On Cooking Day
  • 6 C salad greens

Instructions

To Assemble
  1. Roll out pizza doughs. Evenly distribute sauce, pepperonis, Canadian bacon, cheese, and Italian seasoning on one half of each pizza dough.
  2. Fold over each pizza dough and seal the edges with a fork. Store in container with lid (put parchment in between calzones).
  3. Add last 2 ingredients to a small microwaveable bowl with lid.
To Cook
  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Place calzones on baking sheet (sprayed with non-stick spray).
  2. Melt butter mixture and brush over each calzone.
  3. Poke a few holes at the top of each calzone. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown.
  4. Serve with side salad.
