Wash your potatoes and toss in the slow cooker for 3-6 hours. The more potatoes, the longer they need to cook. They are ready when fork tender and mash-able.
Remove from slow cooker and (while still hot) peel with a fork! Yes, a FORK!
The skin will fall right off.
