Hungarian Goulash - C
rice and salad

Ingredients

Prep
  • 2 lb beef chuck roast
  • 1 C frozen chopped onions
  • 1/2 C ketchup
  • 2 T Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 T brown sugar
  • 2 t ground paprika
  • 1/2 t garlic powder
  • 1/2 t dried mustard powder
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 C water
  • 1/4 C flour
On Cooking Day
  • 1 C water
  • 8 C salad greens
  • 2 bag frozen rice steamers

Instructions

To Assemble
  1. Cut beef into bite size pieces and add to a large zipper bag along with next 8 ingredients. Zip to seal and shake to mix.
  2. Mix water and flour in small bowl with lid.
To Cook
  1. Place contents from bag and water in slow cooker and cook on low for 9-10 hours.
  2. Stir in flour paste and cook on high an additional 15 minutes to thicken sauce.
  3. Cook rice according to package directions and serve with salad.
