Ingredients

Prep
  • 12 hot dogs
  • 12 hot dog buns
  • 40 oz can pineapple tidbits
  • 1 small red onion
  • 1/4 C BBQ sauce
On Cooking Day
  • 1 bag frozen french fries
  • 1/4 C BBQ sauce
  • 1 small watermelon

Instructions

To Assemble
  1. Line a 9 x 13 baking dish with foil. (you might need an additional pan to fit them all) Place hot dog in each bun and place in baking dish. Cover with foil.
  2. Drain pineapple and dice onion. Mix pineapple and onion together in a small bowl with a lid along with BBQ sauce.
To Cook
  1. Spoon pineapple mixture on top of each hot dog. Drizzle with remaining BBQ sauce. Bake covered in 350 degree oven for 35-45 minutes.
  2. Cook french fries according to package directions.
  3. Slice watermelon into triangles.

*best if cooked on day 1 or 2.   If you can't find pineapple tidbits, chop canned pineapple chunks.
