Texas toast and green salad

  • beef, freezable, one pan, slow cooker

Ingredients

Prep
  • 2 lb lean stew meat
  • 1 C frozen chopped onions
  • 1 C frozen chopped bell peppers
  • 14 oz canned pinto beans
  • 1.25 oz chili seasoning packet
  • 2 T minced garlic
  • 1 C salsa
  • 14 oz fire roasted tomatoes
  • salt and pepper to taste
On Cooking Day
  • 2 C beef broth
  • 10 C salad greens
  • 1 pkg Texas Toast
  • 1 bag fritos corn chips optional

Instructions

To Assemble
  1. Add all ingredients to a large zipper bag. Zip and shake to mix.
To Cook
  1. Pour meat mixture into slow cooker along with beef broth. Cook on low for 8-10 hours.
  2. Cook Texas toast according to package directions. Serve with salad. Serve chili over Fritos chips if desired.
