Szechwan Shrimp – C

Ingredients

Prep
  • 4 T water
  • 2 T ketchup
  • 1 T soy sauce
  • 2 t cornstarch
  • 1/2 t crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 t honey
  • 1/4 t ground ginger
  • 4 t minced garlic
  • 1 1/2 lb raw peeled shrimp
On Cooking Day
  • 2 t olive oil
  • 2 pkg brown rice steamer
  • 1/4 C fresh chopped green onions optional

Instructions

To Assemble
  1. In a bowl with lid, stir together first 8 ingredients.
  2. Place shrimp in a large zipper bag.
To Cook
  1. Add olive oil to skillet on medium heat. Add shrimp mixture to skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes (until shrimp begin to curl).
  2. Stir in sauce. Cook and stir until sauce is bubbly and thickened.
  3. Cook rice according to package directions. Serve over rice and top with green onions.
