Steak and Marinated Tomato Salad – CE

Ingredients

Prep
  • 1/2 C olive oil
  • 1/2 C red wine vinegar
  • 2 T onion flakes
  • 2 T minced garlic
  • 1/4 C fresh parsley chopped
  • 1 t dried basil
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 3 tomatoes extra large
  • 1 1/2 lb sirloin steaks or any cut you prefer
On Cooking Day
  • 1 pkg dinner rolls
  • 10 C salad greens

Instructions

To Assemble
  1. Mix first 7 ingredients in a small bowl with lid and shake well.
  2. Slice tomatoes and place in a single layer in a container with a lid. Pour 1/4 of the dressing over tomatoes.
  3. Place steaks in a large zipper bag and add 1/4 of the dressing. Zip and shake.
  4. Reserve remaining dressing for serving over salad.
To Cook
  1. Grill steaks or broil until desired doneness.
  2. Serve salad with marinated tomatoes, sliced steak and dinner rolls.
