Spicy Steak Bites – LC
Mashed cauliflower and asparagus spears

Ingredients

Prep
  • 1 T ground paprika
  • 2 t dried thyme
  • 1 t minced garlic
  • 1/2 t cayenne pepper
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 6 top loin steaks or any steak you like
  • 1 bunch asparagus
  • 2 T olive oil
  • salt and pepper to taste
On Cooking Day
  • 1 bag frozen cauliflower crumbles
  • 2 T butter
  • 1/4 C grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

To Assemble
  1. Add first 5 ingredients to large zipper bag.
  2. Cut steak into 2 inch pieces and add to same bag.
  3. Trim woody ends off asparagus and discard. Place spears in same zipper bag with steak adding last 2 ingredients. Zip to seal and squish around to mix.
To Cook
  1. Pour steak bites and asparagus onto large baking sheet sprayed with non stick spray. Broil 4 – 8 minutes or until desired doneness.
  2. Steam cauliflower in microwave for 4-5 minutes. Drain and mash with butter and parmesan cheese.
