Southern Breakfast Casserole

Ingredients

Prep
  • 2 C frozen sausage
  • 1 green onions
  • 2 C shredded cheddar cheese
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 C water
  • 1/2 C milk
  • 1 pkg white or county gravy
  • 6 slices bread
On Cooking Day
  • 2 T butter

Instructions

Prep
  1. Spray 11×8 dish with non stick spray.
  2. Chop green onion and sausage and add to baking dish, then top with shredded cheese.
  3. Whisk together milk, eggs, water and gravy mix in a medium bowl with lid.
  4. Cut bread slices into cubes and add to baking dish with sausage. Cover with plastic wrap.
On Cooking Day
  1. Pour egg mixture over bread/sausage mixture. Melt butter and drizzle over top.
  2. Bake uncovered in a 400 degree oven for 35-45 minutes or until center is set.
