Slow Cooker Chicken Marsala Recipe
This easy prep ahead version will save you time on busy mornings.

Ingredients

Prep
  • 6 boneless chicken breast medium size
  • 8 oz sliced mushrooms
  • 2 t minced garlic
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 T fresh parsley chopped
  • 1/2 C Marsala wine
  • 1/2 C chicken broth
To Cook
  • 1/4 C cornstarch
  • 1/4 C water
  • 1/4 C heavy cream optional
  • 2 bag steamers rice
  • 16 oz frozen green beans

Instructions

To Assemble
  1. Add first 5 ingredients to a large zipper bag. Zip to seal.
  2. Mix last 2 ingredients to a small bowl with lid.
To Cook
  1. Pour chicken mushroom mixture into slow cooker. Pour wine/broth mixture over top. Cook on low for 6-8 hours.
  2. Turn slow cooker to high. Mix cornstarch and water and pour over chicken mushrooms. Cook for 30 minutes. Pour in heavy cream and stir right before serving.
  3. Cook rice and green beans according to package directions.

*chicken may be browned in skillet before adding to slow cooker if desired.
