Slow Cooked Turkey and Mushrooms – C
rice and side salad

Ingredients

Prep
  • 1 onion
  • 1 1/2 lb ground turkey
  • 12 oz turkey gravy jar
  • 5 C fresh sliced mushrooms
  • 1 T dry onion soup mix
  • 1 T cornstarch
On Cooking Day
  • 2 T water
  • 4 C vegetable broth
  • 6 C salad greens
  • 2 pkg frozen rice steamer

Instructions

To Assemble
  1. Slice onion. Add onion and next 3 ingredients to large zipper bag. Zip to seal and squish around to mix.
  2. Mix onion soup and cornstarch in a small bowl with lid.
To Cook
  1. Place chicken mixture in slow cooker on low for 7-8 hours.
  2. Add water to cornstarch and onion soup. Stir until dissolved then add to slow cooker. Mix well and cook an additional 10 minutes or until slightly thickened.
  3. Serve over rice and with side salad.
