Slow Cooked Braised Beef – F
Couscous and green beans

Ingredients

Prep
  • 1 jalapeno pepper
  • 2 lb beef roast any cut
  • 1 C frozen chopped onion
  • 2 T minced garlic
  • 2 T lime juice
  • 1 T chili powder
  • 1 t dried basil
  • salt and pepper to taste
On Cooking Day
  • 1 C beef broth
  • 16 oz frozen green beans
  • 15 oz couscous

Instructions

To Assemble
  1. Slice jalapeño (remove seeds if desired) and add to large zipper bag along with remaining ingredients.
  2. For Instant Pot: cut roast into 3-4 chunks for best results.
To Cook
  1. Slow Cook: Pour bag contents into slow cooker along with beef broth and cook on low 8-10 hours.
  2. Instant Pot: Pour bag contents into IP along with beef broth and cook 60-70 minutes. Quick release pressure.
  3. Cook green beans and couscous according to package directions.
