Red Wine Steak and Mushrooms – 5

Ingredients

  • 6 sirloin steaks or any cut you like (1 per person)
  • pepper to taste
  • 2 T olive oil
  • 2 T butter
  • 3/4 C red wine or beef stock
  • 8 oz sliced mushrooms
  • 1 bag steamers mashed potatoes
  • 1 bag Caesar salad kit

Instructions

  1. Season steaks with pepper and cook in a skillet on medium high heat about 4 minutes on each side or until just before desired doneness.
  2. Top each steak with butter and let simmer until butter melts.
  3. Remove steaks from skillet and set aside.
  4. Add wine and mushrooms, scrapping bits of bottom of pan.
  5. Cook 5-7 minutes then replace steaks and spoon sauce over them.
  6. Cook potatoes according to package directions.
