Pizza Pasta – B
green salad, garlic bread

Ingredients

Prep
  • 1 lb Italian sausage
  • 1/2 C frozen chopped onions
  • 1/2 C frozen chopped bell peppers
  • 8 oz pizza sauce
  • 16 oz pasta sauce
  • 20 slices pepperoni
  • 2 t minced garlic
  • 1 t Italian seasoning
  • salt and pepper to taste
On Cooking Day
  • 2 T olive oil
  • 1 lb cavatappi pasta
  • 3 1/2 C water
  • 8 oz mozzarella cheese
  • 6 C salad greens
  • 6 garlic bread sticks

Instructions

To Assemble
  1. In a large zipper bag, combine first 3 ingredients. Zip to seal and squish around to mix.
  2. In a separate large zipper bag, combine the remaining ingredients.
To Cook
  1. Press saute on Instant Pot. Add olive oil and Italian sausage ingredients to Instant Pot.
  2. Cook until Italian sausage is browned. Press cancel.
  3. Add prepped sauce ingredients, water, and pasta to Instant Pot. Stir to mix.
  4. Seal valve. Cook on high pressure for 5 minutes. Release pressure.
  5. Add mozzarella cheese.
  6. Cook garlic bread according to package directions. Serve with side salad and garlic bread.
