Orange Glazed Turkey Patties – C
Butternut squash and asparagus

Ingredients

Prep
  • 1 C orange marmalade
  • 2 T soy sauce
  • 1 t ground ginger
  • 1/2 t crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 bag frozen butternut squash cubed
  • 1 bunch asparagus
  • 2 T olive oil
  • salt and pepper to taste
On Cooking Day
  • 6 preformed turkey burger patties

Instructions

To Assemble
  1. Mix first 4 ingredients in a small container with lid. This will be the glaze while cooking.
  2. Pour ½ mixture into another small container with lid. This will be the sauce.
  3. Cut woody ends off asparagus and discard. Chop asparagus spears into 2 inch pieces and add to large zipper bag with squash, olive oil, salt and pepper. Zip to seal and shake to mix.
To Cook
  1. Grill burgers on indoor grill or brown in skillet. Brush with glaze as they cook.
  2. Warm sauce in microwave until bubbly. Pour over cooked patties.
  3. Pour vegetables onto a large baking sheet sprayed with non stick spray and bake at 400 degrees for 15 – 20 minutes.
