Korean Ground Beef Bowls – C
rice and broccoli

Ingredients

Prep
  • 1/4 C soy sauce or liquid aminos
  • 1/4 C brown sugar
  • 1 T sesame oil
  • 1 t minced garlic
  • 1/2 t minced ginger
  • 1/2 t crushed red pepper
  • 1 1/2 lb extra lean ground beef
  • 1/2 t garlic powder
  • salt and pepper to taste
On Cooking Day
  • 2 bag frozen rice steamers
  • 16 oz frozen broccoli
  • 1/2 C chopped green onion

Instructions

To Assemble
  1. Mix first 6 ingredients together in a container with a lid until blended. Cover.
  2. Place remaining ingredients in a large zipper bag. Zip to seal and mix.
To Cook
  1. Cook ground beef to a large skillet over medium heat, stirring occasionally to break up chunks until cooked thoroughly. Drain excess grease. Stir in sauce and simmer for 5-10 minutes until heated through. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  2. Cook rice and broccoli according to package directions.
  3. To serve add a scoop of rice to a bowl or plate. Top with beef mixture. Sprinkle with chopped green onion and serve with broccoli on the side.
