Ham-Asparagus Strata – C

Ingredients

Prep
  • 6 english muffin
  • 1 lb cooked ham steaks
  • 1 bunch asparagus spears
  • 9 sliced Swiss cheese
  • 6 eggs
  • 1/3 C sour cream
  • 1 3/4 C milk
  • 1/2 C frozen onion
  • 2 T Dijon mustard
  • salt and pepper to taste
On Cooking Day
  • 6 C salad greens

Instructions

To Assemble
  1. Tear or cut english muffins into bite size pieces and place half of them in the bottom of a 9 x 13 baking dish sprayed with non stick spray.
  2. Cube ham and chop asparagus into 2 inch pieces and place on top of the english muffins. Add cheese slices. Top with remaining english muffins.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together remaining ingredients. Pour egg mixture over ingredients in dish- making sure to moisten all bread. Cover.
To Cook
  1. Bake uncovered in 325 degree oven for 60-70 minutes.
  2. Serve with green salad.
