Buffalo Sloppy Joes – C
french fries and salad

Ingredients

Prep
  • 2 celery rib
  • 2 lb ground turkey or ground chicken
  • 1/2 C frozen chopped onions
  • 1/2 C shredded carrots
  • 1 t minced garlic
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 oz tomato sauce
  • 1/2 C chicken broth
  • 1/4 C buffalo wing sauce Frank’s Buffalo Wing Sauce
  • 2 T apple cider vinegar
  • 1 T Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 T light brown sugar
On Cooking Day
  • 2 T olive oil
  • 6 hamburger buns
  • 1 bag frozen french fries
  • 10 C salad greens
  • 1 C blue cheese crumbles

Instructions

To Assemble
  1. Chop celery and place in a large zipper bag along with next 5 ingredients. Zip to seal and shake to mix.
  2. Mix remaining ingredients together in a container with lid.
To Cook
  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat and cook turkey mixture thoroughly.
  2. Stir in prepared sauce and cook until heated through.
  3. Cook french fries according to package directions.
  4. To serve, scoop mixture evenly on each buns and top with blue cheese crumbles.
  5. Serve with salad.
