Bacon Cheeseburger Pasta – C

Ingredients

Prep
  • 3 C water
  • 15 oz tomato sauce
  • 2 t Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 t dried ground mustard
  • 1 1/2 t light brown sugar packed
  • 1/2 t garlic powder
  • 1/2 t coarse sea salt
  • 1/2 t black pepper
  • 2 dill pickle spears
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 3 C elbow macaroni
  • cooking spray
On Cooking Day
  • 1/2 C real bacon bits
  • 6 slices American cheese
  • 1/2 C diced red onion optional
  • 6 dill pickle spears optional
  • 1 pkg potato chips
  • 6 C green salad

Instructions

To Assemble
  1. Add the first 8 ingredients to a large mixing bowl and whisk to combine. Dice pickles and add them to the mixture.
  2. Use your fingers to break the ground beef into 1/2″ pieces. Add the ground beef and elbow macaroni to the bowl. Stir to combine.
  3. Spray a casserole dish with cooking spray. Add the meat and sauce mixture to the casserole dish and cover with foil.
To Cook
  1. Bake, covered, at 450 for 25-35 minutes.
  2. Remove the dish from the oven, and top with bacon bits and American cheese. Bake uncovered for 10 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly. Garnish with chopped red onion as desired.
  3. Serve with potato chips, green salad, and additional pickle spears as desired.
